B130A Mobile Coding with OctoStudio
Level 1

Synopsis

In this course, you will be introduced to coding on a mobile app.  

Technical objective: You will explore coding with OctoStudio, a mobile app that lets you bring ideas to life with photos, sounds, and drawings. You will learn to create simple interactive animations, games, and stories using coding blocks.

Life skills objective: This course encourages creativity and problem-solving, with no single right or wrong answer. Inspired by themes like nature, music, and storytelling, you’ll work with friends and learn to express your ideas in fun ways.

 

Prerequisite

This course is suitable for learners in Lower Primary with a basic command of English and computer skills.

You will require a tablet (Android or iOS).

AI Story Toolkit
Level 1
This course introduces Year 1–2 students to multimodal storymaking (text and images) using simple activities supported by teacher-led chatbot interactions. Over three one-hour projects you will read, evaluate and create short stories while practising safe, guided use of friendly AI helpers.
